July 5-8th: Daily Reboot & Recharge

Reboot & Recharge Station

All week the mini conference room will be transformed into a meditative space! You will get to take a short break from work, sit in an antigravity chair that releases pressure from your spine, listen to calming theta waves, and breath in essential oil vapors.  

 

You will be able to book 10 minute sessions with a sign up sheet posted outside of the room. First come, first serve, so be sure to book your slot early in the week!

​2-3pm           Afternoon Office Yoga with Racquel Clarke & Frances Dirks of Go Fit Fund

​

Take a break from your desk to move, stretch, and re-energize and return to work refreshed and renewed! Therapeutic Yoga Teacher and Nurse Practitioner, Frances Dirks, will help us improve our energy levels and increase productivity with basic stress reduction tips & poses. This class will also teach you foundational techniques to prevent and reduce pain during the workday.

Thursday, July 7th: PHYSICAL WELLNESS & SUSTAINABILITY

1:30-2pm             Fundamentals of Abdominal Training with Marcella of Move it

​

In this 30-minute workshop, you will learn about (4) primary muscles of the “Core” which move, support and stabilize your spine. Participants will learn the difference between “Stability” and “Mobility” training and how Personal Trainers and Group Fitness Instructors use both to design fun fitness programs.

​

2-2:30pm            Abs in 30 with Marcella of Move it

​

This 30-minute core class focuses on stability and mobility exercises for the abdominal & back muscles. You will push yourself to the limit and then find balance! Suitable for all fitness levels.

Friday, July 8th: MOTIVATION & INSPIRATION

*All workshops will be held in the main conference room: the "fish bowl"

2-5pm       Mini Massages with Naturopathica

​

Free massages will be offered for rest & relaxation! Spots will book up fast so be sure to sign up the day of! There will be a sign up sheet available on Thursday.

10-11am           Creating Space for Self care with Sharon Unis of Waterbear Planet

​

 

Creating space for self-care starts with the very tangible question -- what spaces deeply nourish you? It could be a tree you visit in the park, your favorite beach, a quiet nook in a museum, your mother's kitchen. Together, we'll journey to these spaces, discover their deeper meaning, and identify 3 ways to integrate them into our day-to-day lives.

It can be anything from take a deep breath every hour to ideas for healthy snacks on the go. 12-1pm           Mindful Eating with Vanessa Berenstein, MA RD of Healing from Scratch

Curious about how to eat the foods you love while still maintaining your health? Ever catch yourself eating a whole bag of chips or cookies when you weren't actually hungry? This workshop will teach you the fundamental skills to understand hunger, appetite, & fullness. You will also be guided through some exercises that will transform how you taste and enjoy food. 

​

1-2pm             Mindful Potluck with Vanessa Berenstein, MA RD of Healing from Scratch

​

Bring your favorite homemade dish or ingredient- "healthy" or "unhealthy!" We will practice enjoying food fully and appreciating each others' creativity. For those who participated in the Mindful Eating Workshop, this potluck will be a great way to immediately use your new skills and truly enjoy your meal.

11-5pm           Mantra Station with Marian & Upahar of Half Hippy

A mantra is a word, sound, or incantation that originated in ancient Hinduism and Buddhism to aid in concentration or meditation. Research and common sense proves that every thought and emotion creates a chemical reaction. Hence, mantras change our neurochemicals providing immediate relief for our physical, spiritual, and mental health. You can use mantras anytime you need some help focusing, pushing through a tough project, or dealing with a difficult situation. Our mantra booth will be one stop shop where you can physically write out your individual mantra to create your intentions. We (Half Hippy) will be nearby if you need help or suggestions.

2:30-3:30pm     Sustainable Living with Thomas Tschanz of Suissetainable

It is well known that healthy habits like good nutrition and regular exercise have several benefits for our bodies and mind. But do they also have an impact on the environment? I will briefly discuss this topic based on my research and what we at Suissetainable are doing to bridge the gap between health & the environment.

12-2pm           Mini Spa Mineral Soak with Anthony Davis

3:30-4:30pm    Reaching your Health Goals with Vanessa Berenstein Healing from Scratch

​

 

Ever wonder why your new years resolutions and spring detox attempts never work? Having trouble sticking to a routine? Together we will come up with realistic attainable goals or "SMART" goals that stick so that you can see the results you want for yourself.

While this will be health focused, it can apply to anyone looking to set sustainable goals that work! 

2:30-3:30pm   Building Confidence Through Art with Malou Zuidema

​

In this hands-on, 1 hour mixed media illustration workshop we'll talk about the health benefits of creating art. A great social workshop for those of you love creating art or illustration, but feel limited in your drawing skills or want to try something new.
